2/3/22 Guys I have been searching for Harriet today, miles in every direction, checked all her normal spots, ponds, fields, pastures, road side, yonder pond, back behind west pasture far east to I-75 Never saw or heard her. I have to stay positive as much as possible, but my heart is breaking. Now M15 is defending the nest against a large female. I went back this afternoon and got photos because I had hoped it was Harriet in the tree top, it was not. We are all stressed and sad and worried. But the best thing to do is PRAY that she is either found or returns tomorrow. And Pray for the safety of M15 and our precious babies. I had a few photos of Harriet casting some odd object yesterday, it could have been a pellet attached to flehm or animal parts or possibly fishing line with a sinker or lure. My photos have NEVER been photoshopped for the record. I have NO idea for sure what it was but Harriet was FINE after she got it up and posed for a few hours where I got beautiful photos and did not see anything else hanging from her mouth. She was fine when she flew off for a break heading east. I don't think what ever this object was is the reason she has been gone. I have no idea why she is missing or what has happened and I can't let fear get ahold of me. We need to pray she is found and M will be okay. Keep comments positive as long as we can, we all are worried and Love this eagle family with all our hearts. Don't try and guess what is going on, just send prayers and good thoughts it will all work out. I have been at the nest 3 days in a row, I'm sun burned and exhausted and worried. M15 is a fierce defender of his E's and nest and territory. He fed the babies good today big RK rabbit and they can go a day or two if need be without eating again and be perfectly fine. People that know what to do in these cases are monitoring it all, have faith they know what to do if anything. Let's all say a prayer for this Eagle family.
